Out fishing on Wednesday when this loon allowed me to get in close.
She even let me circle her to get the best light.
My best loon capture so far.
It was too bad she did not provide any wing displays.
No crop.

Thanks for the nice comments guys. I was quite happy getting the red eye and catch light.
Often while looking through the viewfinder you can see it and you know the shot could be a good one.

A beautiful bird. Interestingly, the head feathers are so close cropped that one rarely, if ever, sees any texture there. A looney for you.
