Went out kayaking with Colin F last evening and this morning at two different locations...birds were scarce this time of year but we managed to find a few willing to pose. My first time photographing the Rhinoceros Auklet which was very frustrating to get close to as they seem to swim a long ways underwater with every dive and in random directions.

Jeff,

These are amazing. I was out today shooting my local gulls (with new chick), oystercatchers and pigeon guillemots. After seeing your PG I am embarrassed to share mine! Those are great shots. So intimate and at eye level. Can't get that my perspective in my area. The ocean is too rough.

Always neat to see from the perspective of a kayak these subjects. Nice work on the Auklet, first shot depicts it very well Geoff. Lovely light on the swan, both #7 and 8 grab me too
