This summer, the visits have been so few and far between. However, several days ago, two came to visit and stayed in the garden for a bit visiting all the flowers and bushes.

I had not photographed a hummer in my garden since April. So, it was a great joy to spend a couple of hours with these little gems.

As always, your nits, crits and suggestions are most appreciated.

Fantastic set birdied... the composition, bokeh, and color in the first photo just make this one a standout image.

These are sweet Roberta. I only get a hummer in my garden once every few years. I've added some flowers that I hope help later in the summer and early fall

Gorgeous images Birdie, it is amazing what you can do with the A6400 and the 100-400 combo.
I noticed myself that the A6400 has a better tracking AF than the A7R3. To me the tracking is almost the same as the A9.

Birdie, although you didn’t get to see the hummer often this summer but you certainly made the best out of the few occasions. Those are masterfully captured images! The isolation of the flower and of course that of the hummer in the first image is superb! YGMV!
