I took a walk in the woods in the Alley Creak area a few days ago. I kept scaring my subjects off and then I realized that I was planting my tripod while facing my subjects. Then I remembered Art Morris's advice to turn your back on your subject when planting your tripod so the legs don't appear to be reaching out as a lunge. The first images I'm presenting are safety shots taken before I had a chance to make adjustments so my ISO was low and thus a very slow shutter speed.
