He accompanied a wood-wright and two blacksmiths in their display area.

The middle, and whitest strap is for a messenger's bag (or something similar) he is carrying -for his attire. More obviously apparent in another image.

That's the one Bob, I don't know if it is just because you spend most of your time in the B/W forum, or what, but to my eye, this looks much better in black and white!

I think both are great - the light in this man's eyes is that of an 18 year-old, not 80.

Love the expression! Seems like he's had a lot of laughs.

Great catch of the character of this gentleman, Bob, the sparkle and touch of mischief in the eye. Like it in colour but the B+W shades it for me - but possibly my monophilia at work.
