Sorry for the belated Father's Day post as I was in transit visiting my daughter who lives in Chicago. I wanted to relate a heart warming story about a pair of Sand Hill Cranes who adopted a baby gosling. Though these circumstances have been reported before, this was the first time, I was able to observe the parents with their colt along with their adopted gosling. What remains to be seen is whether the gosling will end up migrating and behaving like a crane or will it move on to join the geese? Anyhow, Happy Father's Day and like the Sand Hill fathers, we too are important in our children's' lives.
