Just won a hopefully mint condition S1R on eBay for an amazing price which should pair nicely with my S1. Will probably mostly use the S1 for video moving forward and as a backup. Now all I need is the Sigma 105 1.4 for my ultimate portrait setup

Awesome @C.Rankin !

I love my S1R, image quality is superb. The Sigma 105 F1.4 looks amazing and I'm hoping for a DG DN version in the future.

Yes please, tell us if 47mp worth it?! When on Holliday one day, I wonder if I should go for a second DS-C1 or a DC-1SR...

I got the body with 2 original batteries for $1350 with free shipping. Even less than I got my S1 for which was $1500 a little over a year ago. I also snagged a barely used battery grip for $170.

I was thinking about waiting for the 2nd generation of S cameras since I have a feeling they will be announced in next few months but I have been very happy with the S1 and I couldn't pass up that price for an S1R. So now I will probably wait a year or 2 before considering an upgrade. Now I just need to get a Sigma 105mm 1.4 eventually but I doubt I will find a good price on that behemoth of a lens.

im from FF moved to medium format gfx50r 9month ago, so will never look back to ff or apsc cameras.

That's good to hear! I would have already bought the 105 but I was waiting/hoping for a DG DN version but I may just bite the bullet anyway.

im not shoot sports or moving objects,never use burst mode. so from nikon go to canon and now happy with gfx. gf110 nothink special,just sharp lens as my gf120, gf63 or gf45. every canon nikon 85/1.4 do same work and sharpness as gf110.

I agree 100%! Too slow compared to FF and for what I would do with it...

It's worth it! Love 47mp over the 24mp I had in an older Sony A7 not to mention my 20mp m43 files.

Hi Wilbus,
actually, I also use a Pentax K-1 II and rendering is better whenever I use same Leica-R lenses on Pentax camera over Panasonic DC-S1..
