p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Few Western Pennsylvania Migrants

Most of these are from Presque Isle State Park on Lake Erie, near Erie, Pennsylvania. My wife and I made 6 trips there from May 11 to May 19. for a total of 1000-1100 miles on the car.... This year the bird counts were down quite a bit from previous years but we still managed to see a good number of Warblers, Vireos, and other migrating birds on their way to points north. The Prothonotary Warbler was taken at Custards/Conneaut Swamp in Crawford County, PA.

1. Black and White Warbler

2. Blackburnian Warbler

3. Chestnut-sided Warbler

4. Prothonotary Warbler

5. Willow Flycatcher

6. Yellow-Rumped Warbler

7. Louisiana Waterthrush

Nice work on these Dave, but I'm thinking your crops are too tight. Maybe just my screen.

Thanks everyone. Yeah I tend to crop a little tighter than I should. Sometimes it's because I get lazy and will crop out branches or leaves or other undesirable items that I would otherwise spend time editing out . I did notice that my image sizes were a little large so I reduced the sizes and reposted.

I have more images from our week birding at Presque Isle that I need to edit. I'll try not to crop quite so close on those.
