How do you get your cacti to bloom Harold? I've had numerous plants over the years and only got blooms one time.

It depends which ones you have. Some of the smaller species will flower whatever you do. Some of the columnar ones, widely on sale, need to be rooted in the ground and several to many feet tall. Most are not frost tolerant and some which are need dry roots in the winter. Most flowers open only in sunshine in the middle of the day.
It might help if you give them a suitable cactus feed two or three times during the growing season. Epiphytic hybrids need a high potassium boost in November and February.
Mine have a dedicated greenhouse but the only provision is thermostatic heating which is supposed to keep a minimum of 10 C but does not in prolonged severe frost. In sunny weather, during April till about September, they may be watered up to three times a week.
