Third, and probably the last, Red Knot outing this year.
Struck out again
Spotted many Semi Palmated Sandpipers, a Dunlin (pair?) in breeding attire, and a Ruddy Turnstone.
I had great hope for a Red Knot since I was seeing a little variety of birds BUT this was not to be a knot day. A couple came, the man had a large lens he was hand holding and started walking up and down the shore line expecting the birds to wait for his arrival - didn't happen - but there were a lot of swarms of small birds flying around as he approached. His woman companion was better settling into a spot with tripod. I had to leave - it was hopeless.
