The biggest issue for me that has kept from ordering so far is the oddball filter thread size. I have all 52, 58, or 67mm filter threads. Still will be watching this space. The Loxia is a great landscape lens—maybe the best 21mm for that purpose. Can this be that much better?

Ive also noticed at f2.8 when you nail the focus, it seems to be very sharp also,

I thought my 3.5 was safe due to the coma performance and size of this one.

The 3D on those flowers though... Wow!

Crap . My filters are 62mm for my CV 12 hood cut down. ND and CPL. I would have to do some creative moves here. I’m shooting the city this week for stock for our show. Would love to grab this in the morning. To hard to pull off . Have to sell my new 3.5 right now and Find 600. Now that’s a freaking challenge

Seriously I would love to have a faster super wide . I sold my 18 so I cut my knees out on that move. Buying all this Profoto lighting is very very costly. But it is a good move for me. I need to knit a new ski mask. Lol

So, at f/2.8 where the Loxia is wide open and field curvature is not masked by DOF, the Voigtlander performs slightly better at the extreme corners. However, if I focus on the corners and compare this area at f/2.8 and smaller apertures, both lenses perform similarly. (Since field curvature is no longer relevant)

So, the biggest downfall for the Loxia is field curvature at infinity whereas that's the Voigtlander 21/1.4's strength.

At center, the Loxia surprisingly holds its own and performs similarly to the Voigtlander even thought the latter is already stopped down 2 stops but even at f/5.6, the Voigtlander performs better towards the extreme corners when both lenses are focused at center. (Again, due to FC for the Loxia)
I will start a new thread and start posting some crops.

FYI: The CV 21/1.4's official weight is 560g and that's correct when weighing the lens with both caps. Without the caps it's 537g.
Not much difference but someone may be wondering how I got the lower weight.

BTW: It beats the 24/1.4 at center when comparing both lenses wide open at infinity. (resolution and contrast)
