Navajo horses in Northern Arizona on a crisp winter day.
The cloudy sky with few sun rays didn't quite work for landscape photos but was great for these horses.

with Sony A7R III and Canon 400mm f/5.6 with Metabones IV

Nice light, nice subjects, but perhaps too tightly cropped, Particularly no. 5. I would also crop the dog in portrait mode.

I was very happy with the light.
I only had a 400mm f/5.6 as the long lens, 200mm wasn't long enough at all. I would have liked 560mm for more closeups and 300mm for full body. When I had a 300mm on the next trip, the light wasn't there nor the opportunities.

Thank you all. They didn't quite pose for me quite like donkeys in the past, but it's always enjoyable to observe animals up close
