Ok, I'm no bird photographer. But when you pull into your driveway and park your jeep and you see something flopping around on the ground about 20' in front of you, well, ya gotta shoot it...right? Not great quality, heavy cropping, etc., but...

Thank you both, for your comments. Yeah, I had my 24-70 on the camera when I pulled up and shot a few through the windshield of the jeep. The only long(ish) lens I have is a 135/2 so on it went. I managed to crack the door and step outside without scaring him off, though it was a slow, stop-action movement. This is beneath a tree canopy with open light beyond, late in the evening. My wife just told me it wasn't out there anymore *and* that the smaller birds were back out at the bird-feeder. I guess the hawk got his fill or ate the rabbit down enough to haul it away.
