I am a bit puzzled why the links go to different web pages for you than they do for me. The link I provided takes me to a page where all three photography options are presented at the bottom of the page. I tried the other two links provided by jharter and zenon char and they also take me to web pages where the $9.99/mo option is presented. You say they all take you to a different page where the $9.99/mo option is not presented. What would Adobe use as a basis for presenting one page to me and another

I'm not making this up, nor is this the first time this issue has been discussed on this forum.

Here is what is offered at the bottom of the page when I use your link:

Then if I click on any of the 'Choose a plan' button on the page you linked to, I get this:

Just as an FYI for all ... none of the links shared in this thread took me to the traditional $9.99 Photography bundle (that includes Lightroom Classic and Photoshop with 20GB of Adobe Cloud storage). The links took me to where I could only purchase the $19.99 package with 1TB of Adobe cloud storage or Lightroom CC with and 1TB Adobe cloud storage. Not even the dropdown options would show the package desired until making multiple clicks around Adobe's site and using the link "See all plans" did the traditional 20GB plan appear. Even on that link, when I refreshed

Exactly my experience and why I posted in the first place!

I think the differing offers are the result of target marketing. I already have an Adobe PDF account and purchased LR and PS in the past. I suspect current customers are seen as needing more storage, easy marks for more sales, or some other algorithm determined target. There is certainly no customer loyalty on Adobe's part. I have loyally upgraded over the years (though not every upgrade) to both LR and PS as well as their PDF conversion software. They are sowing seeds of confusion in their market with these differing ads. They are also alienating their installed base.

It is obvious that regardless of the lower cost plan you sign up for initially, the $20 plan will be coming your way at some point.

I reviewed the other thread you linked and see that the same confusion was discussed there. Wow, sometimes it got pretty heated.

This makes Elizabeth77's comment relevant. If Adobe is serving different pages to different people who are using the same URL how are they doing it? Have you tried clearing the cookies out of your browser? Have you tried clearing your browsing history? Also I don't understand what differentiates you from me. ButchM and I are long long term subscribers to the Adobe Photography Plan and jaybrams is not. Why are they showing us different pages? Makes no sense to me. Maybe they have tagged you with a cookie for some type of market research? I am using Win 10 and I believe you guys are using Macs. Maybe they target Macs with higher priced plans?

I am going to clear cookies and history to see if it makes any difference for me.

I found out that LR now supports my new Canon RP. I also found a website with the $9.99 plan. I took it before it expired/changed.

Thanks everybody for your help. It seems Adobe is causing more confusion among users than necessary. Maybe they'll read these threads and make some changes.

I really don't want to fork over $20/mo. plus monthly fees for MS Office (which I need), etc. I really like LR, but should I continue to run 5.7 and convert to DNG, learn DPP 4.1 and stay with Canon, or what? Any suggestions appreciated. The $20/mo., extra cloud storage, is more than I prefer to spend, and more storage than I need. Thanks.

I don't pay for MS Office. I use the free Apache Open Office version which includes the equivalent of word, power point, excel, a database option and more.

I have never been a big fan of Lr and detest the bloodsucking, monopolistic pig pricing strategies from Adobe. I have been quite satisfied using the free Canon DPP4 equivalent. It may not be as fast or have quite the features of Lr, but it does an excellent job of opening raw files and is especially good at reducing noise while retaining details.

I have also avoided the subscription for Photoshop. I found that Elements provides all the tools I need. In fact it is a bit simpler and much easier to use the the full PS versions. Up until a few months ago, I was using a 5 year old Elements program. I decided to upgrade and wasted my money. The old program has almost the entire functions available in the upgrade. I got the old program for free when I purchased an Epson v600 scanner.

Before you make any final decision, give DPP4 a try.

Both Zenon and dclark's links take me to pages with the 9.99/month offer. Still strange why some people don't see it though.

DPP is very good but I think it is missing output sharpening. When I used it files always went to PS for resizing and final sharpening. I thought DPP resizing algorithms weren't that good long ago but Canon improved it over the years. They are decent now.
