Thanks Birdie
I went to a presentation at our camera club made by a landscape photographer. He kept going through his pictures of Big Sur, the Grand Canyon, Arches National Park. All the time giving us tips on how to take great landscape pictures. His real message was join me on my seminars to Big Sur, the Grand Canyon, Arches National Park .... and learn how to take great landscapes.
You certainly can take great landscapes at Big Sur. I did not need to hear that at a seminar on how to take good landscape photos He got paid to give a seminar telling us Big Sur, Yellowstone, Iceland and other locations made for good landscapes!
You can also take very good bird photographs in the Everglades. Yes, I think I am improving BUT you still need the birds to be in the right setting and the closer you can get - the better. The Everglades provides these opportunities.
I live in Delaware near great wildlife preserves with lots of migrating and resident birds. They are all there but getting close is very difficult. The heron shot was with very little cropping, same for the egret.
