Hi all - recently picked up my first telephoto and have been getting into shooting wildlife around the Chicago area. Here's a few shots I have gotten lately. This is my first foray into this type of photography so hoping for some feedback!

So far so good - one wouldn't even know you're shooting in a large metro area. While you can still see the eye in #1, I'd prefer a shot the head turned a little more to the right. Obviously you have to take what you can get with wildlife.

These are significantly better than many I've seen from someone who recently picked up their first telephoto lens.

You are off to a very nice start. I agree with Scott on the first shot. And man made items in a wildlife shot detract, so try to avoid including them if possible ~ Ron

Wonderful - and I love the shot of the close shot of the coyote. They seem rather scrawny and shy - and look a bit more fox-like than I expected. Nice array of creatures!

The last deer pic caught my attention. Most likely ready to shed, not many captures like this. Also liking the squirrel. Keep on posting.

Thanks all! psharvic you are correct - I'll have to see if I can find his sheds next time I'm there again, it was barely hanging on.

You are off to a very nice start. Look out for cropping feet and you might want to crop out things like fences.
