I was out for a hike with my family, and we saw a beaver in a frozen pond. Since we don't usually see any wildlife at this park, I only had my Panasonic 25 mm lens with me, so I had to crop the picture quite a bit. The frozen pond did make it very obvious where the beaver's dam is.

Its always good to see a beaver, as they're usually nocturnal. I wish it showed off its tail for us. Great detail in the fur for a wide angle lens.

Since it was shot with Micro 4/3, the 25 mm doesn't give as wide of a field of view as it would on other systems.

The beaver wasn't scared at all though. It was about three or four feet from the walking path that goes along the edge of the pond, and it stayed there eating even though lots of people, children, and dogs went right by it. This is the first time I've actually seen a beaver at this park, though you can often see evidence of them working.
