This garden was photographed at the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum which is just outside of Tucson. It's all native plants and a bit more lush than the natural environment in the background. I'll be sharing images of the desert taken during hikes with my family.

Nice, Morris. There are many places in Saguaro Park that are as densely vegetated as this, and just beautiful. The pretty planted gardens at most visitor centers are good for folks that will not or can not get out to the open desert. At least they get a chance to see what does grow there.

Morris, my preference would be to not cut off the top of the tall cactus. I think framing with a little less foreground flowers and more sky could add to the image. I look forward to seeing more shots from your trip. It really looks like you are having lots of great photo opportunities.

Thank you Jeffrey,

We did see some places where the vegetation was quite dense yet not as well arranged. The gardens at the visitors centers are nice yet we enjoyed what we found on the trails even more. I think It's great that they do have some quality handicapped access in the park.

Thank you Daniel,

Only about 1/3 of that saguaro cactus is showing so including all of it would have meant a lot of empty sky or shooting with a long lens from much further back rustuting in a rather flat image. Possibly a tighter crop could have avoided including it.

I was going to say, "landscape, not landscaping..." but it is landscaping!

Possibly a bit of both Dan :-}

This is the first time we have been in a green desert, fascinating and stunning.
