Yesterday almost seem like an overcast day with sun behind think clouds. At 4PM I decided to drive down to Huntington Beach hoping for a nice sunset. This what I came up with.

Lol! It was still not as good but don’t regret driving from North Orange County!
Although, I did see some nice images of moon!

These are sweet. I lived in HB a number of years ago so I know this spot and these resonate with me even more.

It's #2 for me and I've shot sunsets at the same spot. That location gets fantastic sunsets and the pier seems to really bring it together. -- Jeff

Wanted to post only one originally but couldn't decide which one to post

Hence, posted both to see what response I get. Most of them preferred #2, I guess because of wider view?

Thanks for the post. I like #2 best as well. I think because the left side of the frame gives my eye a place to rest--negative space.

Every time I get out to HB, it feels different. The energy, people, light....love doing photography out there. I am sure you miss it.

I can't believe you left Placentia at 4 and got there with any daylight left. You got lucky.

Yep, left at 4 got to HB around 4:40. Parked and paid for an Hour, got to the spot little before sunset which was at 5:11. Was back in my car few minutes before parking expired! Got home to see last few minutes of NFL game. Freeway was wide open as everyone was watching the NFL game....lol
