p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Any word on Sigma 70-200 f/2.8 with Sony E mount?

Title, basically.
I’m currently in the market for a 70-200 lens for my a7 iii and It seems that sigma’s latest releases have been really great. Has anyone heard anything about the potential for this lens and my time soon?

Tamron was said to be releasing an e-mount 70-200 "early 2019".

New to Sony but have never had any luck getting a sigma to focus consistently on a Canon.

This will not be in native emount. You can either wait for Tamron to announce theirs, get this in Canon mount with the MC-ll adapter or get a Sony. Since I already saw the the Sigma one works fine in stills, but has non working video AF tracking out of the box I opted to just get the Sony GM. I'm trying not to spend too much on Canon glass since that is a mount I have no real urge to buy into too heavily. If you look on Ebay often enough you can find the F4 70-200G for under a grand used and at times less than $2300 for the GM at times.
