I have a a7R3 and an a6500. Neither 'rattle'.
The only thing I hear 'rattle' on my a7R3 are the pd strap nubs. (probably the same for the a6500 if it had pd nubs.)
I understand your theory of the magnets, but I would be questioning the OP's issue and talking to Sony service sooner rather than later for verification.
While we're theorizing, I can't believe that the sensor moves so much that the resultant noise would be audible. But then, I've been wrong more than once according to my ex-. :-/

It's the sensor rattling around. When the power is off, the IBIS electromagnets are off, and it's free to float through the range of motion. Once the camera is powered up, the magnets engage and the sensor is held steady. Very standard on all cameras with IBIS.
