Aurora is a natural wonder that everybody should experience at least once in a lifetime.
There are no two Auroras that are the same so the feeling is unique spatially and temporally.
I specifically enjoy taking photos of Aurora just before it gets totally dark. When the last light of the sun is still there and all elements of the surrounding landscape are distinguishable, the Aurora doesn’t overpower the composition. I captured this very peculiar “nocturnal rainbow” as I call it during my 2018 Baffin Island Photo Adventure.

Camera settings: 24mm, ISO 1250, f/3.5, 10-sec exposure single image
