p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · best digital photo frame with wifi???

I know this is not strictly a Sony question, but it is certainly related to my use of Sony gear.

What do people recommend for a digital photo frame that can be fed with continuously changing images images via wifi (as well as via sd card, I assume)?

Thanks for clues!

I’d still like a Meural myself but haven’t pulled the trigger on one...

Edit:Just learned about the Samsung Frame TV...

How large of display are you thinking and what would be its function? There is a full range from small table top displays to professional looking large framed displays. Can you narrow down your requirements.

Yes---I'm looking for something about 10 inches on the long end, plus or minus two. It would sit on a console table in the living room. I would like it to receive and then continuously slideshow emailed pictures from family members and friends and from my own iphone and also from cloud storage.

I think there are many digital frames that do these things--but which is "best," in features, display quality, & ease-of-use?

Thank you. I'll take a close look at the Meural. I'm looking for something smaller, but I assume they'll have that in the same seires of features.

I've got a Nixplay Seed 10-inch that works very well. Nice image quality, reasonably easy-to-use web client, and handy remote controls.

Weird, was just looking into this. Found a few things that looked promising, but seemed feature-bloated and overpriced for what they were.

I mean, we're photographers, right? I don't need it to be voice-activated or synced to instagram, or even touchscreen. I'd just like something a little bigger - maybe 18x24 or so - that I can throw an SD card into with some pictures and let it play on random. I half thought about just hacking something together out of a monitor and a frame. Maybe I'll do that.

I’ve had exact same reaction and thoughts. Seems anything done well is a giant pain, but if you find a good one let me know. Still a bit strange as cheap as LCD panels have gotten there isn’t a better alternative...

Just throwing this out there, but bought a Nixplay and had nothing but issues with it. Ended up returning it (and I do IT for a living).

Amazon fire TV lets you use your amazon photos for the screen saver. Fire Stick + Cheap TV would probably be a pretty good option.

Totally. I have a basement full of frames, so it would be pretty easy to do. Maybe mod the glass with that ANR museum stuff, or something matte. That stuff is pricey by itself, though.

Let me know if you see any panels that look interesting?

Looks decent. WAY bigger than dedicated frames, bonus we can watch movies on it because we don't have a TV (yeah, we're that family.) Just need to figure out if it can just "slideshow" a usb stick full of photos or if I'd need a separate Alexa stick to make it work on wireless.

There may be even cheaper, better options out there, that was just a first find.c

What about just using a tablet (you can get a Gen 1 12.9 ipad pro wifi only for cheap used and the screen is really nice) and using Flickr, Google Photos, iCloud, whatever... Have it serve up a Google photos shared album and anyone in your family can upload photos to it. Same with iCloud shared albums.

I just have a 32" TV mounted on the wall as a digital picture frame. Google chromecast goes into the usb port on back and just serves up flickr photos (embedded flickr app in the TV's firmware, but I prefer the Google screen saver that serves up Flickr feed).

The amazon photos app will do a slideshow. It does some crappy motion and cropping, but if I remember correctly you can turn that off.
