Was fortunate enough to find to two snowy owls on my excursion today on the south shore of Long Island. An added bonus was some very comfortable winter weather.

Hi Steve,

That amber background is quite nice. The flight photo is a beauty. I found one of them and right after I took a safety sot from about 100 yards it was in the air and heading for a different island. I'm not going to post dots.

Thanks Morris. Got lucky on the flight shot. As I was leaving the beach I spotted the owl about 500yds out. While I was still in "dot" range viewing with my binocs I saw it take flight in my direction. I had plenty of time to switch from AF-S to AF-C and increase my shutter speed before the bird came into range to start shooting.
