I hope you guys and gals are not getting bored with my pictures!
We found and photographed so many wonderful species during my last visit to Ecuador that I have files to share for a few months
For this tour I wanted to get out of my confort zone and instead of using my trusty RRS tripod and Wimberley head, I shot 98% of the time hand held, yeap, not saying this to prove I am young and strong (??) but there are times when a bird won´t give you the time to put your tripod on the ground plus there is a small window to shoot and you just need to take advantage of the situation, best is to shoot from a sturdy tripod I know but... one of the guys who was traveling with me has almost never used his 2X TC paired with his 600f/4 but this time he did and it was mostly because he saw me using it without hesitation! so I guess we both crossed the fence of fear, good for us!
Please let me know your thoughts and as usual, many thanks for taking the time to comment.
Best,
Juan Carlos
