(2) is so far above and beyond the rest... honestly the other 3 would be on the cutting room floor for me.

(1) is way too hot, awkward crop, rubberband on wrist looks like an over-site, pupils too dark, background too stark white.

(3) is ok, just a bit blah. Dead eyes, hair is a mess.

(4) is just odd for me. Cant see her other arm, waaay too close to wall (shadow is distracting), and flash looks like it's too bright and mounted too close to the lens.

BUT, (2) is epic in just about every way, could be in a fashion magazine,

I agree that 2 really jumped off for me. The processing helps there, just the right amount of grain.

gheller i appreciate the feedback but i feel i must reply to a couple things for clarity:

as far as #1 being hot.. there is no highlight clipping in fact there is only shadow clipping

that background is seamless paper with the whole purpose of being stark - in my case i use natural light, thats my recipe

her eyes are literally that black - what can i do about that?

you interpretation of the flash direction is off - it was above my head facing downward far from on camera - i do agree about the arm being out of frame (difficult to pull off with a narrow paper roll) but otherwise it is the exactly the image i was trying to create a fashiony, stylized type thing

its clear to me the more creative/unorthodox the image the more you dislike it. this tells me you are very much a person that does not like change and prefer steady, stable predictable images. cool thats all good but just be aware that style does nothing for me.

with that said i appreciate your feedback - good and bad
