The weather in the NW has been wet, and recently broke but the mornings have had dense fog, with limited photo opportunities. I caught a nice evening and went scouting hoping to get lucky to capture that trophy shot and the moment that we all thrive for; it was slow but I could see the changes coming.
Many times we scout and ignore the typical surrounding wildlife, and there are memorable moments we often miss.
These critters were so quick, like a Kingfisher, I had to act fast and the lighting was beautiful and the reflections were perfect, so I took the shot.

I agree 1 stands out because the reflection although the other photo reflection is clean but does not as stand out as much.

Both are very nice, Chris. I also pick first as the favorite of the two because I like the intimacy of it compared to the second.

It seems that the preference of folks, including myself, is the same. The first image is very sweet but the second is no slouch either. Wee-done, Chris!

Nice work, Chris. Turtles are harder than most think. Dirty shells or too much glare
