Congrats on a first. Nice looking image also with a decent background.
You can tell its a female because the males have a red stripe (moustache patch) leading away from the beak where this female just has a black patch.

+1 Congrats on the pilly. The male also has the red plumage extend all the way from the cap to the beak. TFS
