Ummmm, nothing really wrong with the 20G but I found it a bit too wide in general use really so 24mm does suit me a bit better for stuff aside from night skies. Also the extra bit of aperture for light gathering helps out a bit too.

Six horizontal images for the foreground total including an additional darker central frame for the lighthouse.

Ten tracked images for the sky shot vertically. So yes, a separate sky/ground blend but all shot at the same exposure values.

Thanks for the tip. I will try that the next time I process one. I am still learning and so amazed at what the cameras can capture at night.

This is actually maybe 50 yards (behind me) from the above Lighthouse panoramic image!!

Very windy, didn't use the tracker, stuck to higher ISO shorter exposure images & stacked!

A simple shot from yesterday's trip to a Hindu temple in Cary, NC. I've been on a long hiatus from shooting...some personal issues producing a pretty profound personal inertia. Trying to find my way back. Anyway, this was probably the only shot I took that I was pleased with. I desaturated the background using Lightroom's subject select function. I was pretty surprised how well it selected the flowers...then I inverted the selection:
