Some of your conclusions are quite surprising:
- You like the colors, but you spent a lot of money to buy profiles making them look like from Canon (for example).
From my point of view, you can get extremely good colors out of Sony cameras especially in combination with Zeiss glass, but this needs some work, more than with most of the other brands. So you could also say, colors are not so good, but because of the fantastic sensor and expensive profiles I can live with that.
Your recomendation for better colors seems to be copied from Fred and does not work for skin tones/portraits.
- Why do you use "silent shooting" for landscapes? This makes you lose dynamic range. You won`t have class-leading dynamic range anymore.
- The white balance performance is actually a big problem and the camera does not set it properly or consistently.
- From your opinion, the camera doesn’t spit out pre-cooked raw files, what a professional camera shouldn’t do at all, but you assume that Sony is suppressing the noise by crushing the darks and blacks somewhat aggressively.

Thanks for your constructive feedback. Let me clarify.
- I like the colors, but Sony's raw files are pretty flat out of the camera, and as you say, the files require some work to shine compared to for example Canon (reds), Nikon (warmth), Leica (warmth, saturated and punchy). Personally I don't use the latest Huelight profiles any more. They are too yellowish for what I prefer. That doesn't make them "not good", they're just not my cup of tea. I linked to Fred's post in my article, and stated that the settings was his and that I really like them. Oh, and I do like them for some portraits even, as I prefer the warmth they give to the skintones I frequently photograph. I also like playing with profiles and LUT's. Was it necessary to purchase the profiles get good colors from the camera? absolutely not.
- I use silent shooting for landscapes whenever I'm on a tripod. Simply to prevent any kind of risk of shutter shock. I have done many comparisons, and haven't found a single practical difference between using silent shooting or not in single-shot mode.
- I'm pretty happy with the AWB performance of the A7rIII. Your experience might be different.
- When I compare raw files (especially high iso files) side by side with other cameras, then yes, the Sony's files have somewhat crushed blacks and shadows compared to other files. Maybe this is the nature of this sensor, but it doesn't look right upon close inspection. I am not assuming this to be a fact, but rather, just stating my own observations after countless comparisons.
