Dramatic sun beams, mysterious shadows and rocks...but for me, the sand and hot spots detract from the overall image. It came up on my smaller monitor without that bottom section...really fine (and still mysterious) as a square composition. Thanks for sharing!

First time in a long time that I've seen a shot of this that doesn't look almost exactly like every other shot of this. Great work! First one would be my favorite as well.

For what its worth, I definitely like the image NOT cut off much better. I do agree the sand could be cleaned up a little more, but I do not take issue with the hot spots.
I personally love the idea of doing something different (though I've never been to Upper Antelope Canyon and I'm sure I'd try my own versions of the usual image!). I also don't have a problem with the burnt spots, they remind me of the limited dynamic range that even our eyes have! Well done.
Love the first image! I agree with what a previous poster said, it's the first photo of a place like this that I've seen in a LONG time that doesn't look exactly like every other photo of places like this.
