I'm going to have to try capturing star images like this again in the future! This is right at the end of blue hour, pointed north at Sylvan Lake, in Custer State Park, South Dakota. I have to emphasize that this is the color that I saw in-camera...a very slight white balance tweak was made in post (camera set to daylight), but no boosts to saturation, no local adjustments, nothing. I don't know if it matters, but I was out that night hoping for northern lights activity (KP 6).

gorgeous! love the colors and there are so many stars. the wispy clouds add some depth to the sky.

Yeah I got nice cloud coverage that night - just enough to add a kick of visual interest to the shots without overwhelming it or blocking out the stars...
