I spent 3 days at Black Rock last week. I was there for a high power rocket launch so I was busy during the day but it was very quiet and peaceful in the evenings.

I didn't take many rocket pictures this trip because I was absorbed in getting my rocket prepped for a 7AM flight on Saturday morning. I was trying to break the M altitude record with a CTI M2245. I had machined or modified every part of the rocket. The fins were CNC machined and epoxied them directly to the motor case. The rocket weighed 21 lbs and 18 of that was the motor. It broke up at mach 3.5 (3960 fps). A 30-06 bullet travels at 2700fps to give you an idea of how fast it was going.
