Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in Upper Peninsula, Michigan is home to many stunning waterfalls. On my visit there over Labor Day weekend, I had the opportunity to photograph two of them: Miners Falls and Elliott Falls.
Both are in the vicinity of Miners Castle Overlook. Elliott Falls is actually on Miners beach and is only drops a few feet onto sandstone layers on the beach.

Taken with Nikon D750 and Nikon 20mm f1.8

Lovely work. I first heard of Pictured Rocks when I collected the Michigan state quarter featuring this park. I also saw a documentary at the National Museum of American History that showed a clip of people exploring this park in the winter. Since then, it went on my To Go List. Thanks for showing some samples of this beautiful park!

I particularly loved the third one for your decision to include those two boats [kayaks?] in the frame.

I don't recall ever seeing Miner's Falls from that vantage point, nice! Same comment as above, I like seeing the kayakers in the third shot, nice scale and interest.

Very nice Amit. I particularly like the light reflections along the ridges in the rock in #2

I have been there (1996) and it was crystal clear lake.
Even Independence day, half of lake was covered with ice.
Beach was incredibly clean and beautiful ever seen.
Nice images that remind us the most beautiful dream lake.

Very nice series! I was just up there last month and will be going again with in the next week. How hard was the hike to the bottom of Miners Falls? From what I have read it is not an easy hike down.

Thanks, Ryan. It is not very hard to go down from the observation deck down to the base of the falls. But it is quite slippery. On my first attempt I had a lot of stuff in my hands and backpack and I was slipping quite a bit. I went back up and lightened up my load and was able to go down comfortably.
