The animals follow the rain around the plains. This requires a swim across the Mara River which is infested with giant crocodiles. Many are eaten during the crossings. The river has steep banks about 15 to 20 feet high. The only way up is climb narrow, steep ravines creating dense clouds of dust. The fear and chaos that is a crossing is what I was trying to capture with this image.

Neat image!

Tough call but I wonder if more of the mood would be conveyed by cropping out the single zebra on the left. With or without more on the right (if there's additional image there), it seems it might be more dramatic. Or not....
