IMO the EOS-m mount is fine, by most accounts Canon is selling a lot despite a trickle of lenses in its 6 years of existence - the new lens makes 8. I think the 32/1.4 is the last lens we see for awhile. Its an entry system, it has the requisite zooms, a couple fast primes, a macro and an interface/AF that's easy for people upgrading from a phone to get good results. With EF being the cash cow and RF getting attention moving forward, I see new bodies that mirror (pun intended) the plastic DSLR's "advancements" and little else.
A-mount is just twisting in the wind. The a99/77's aren't enough to gain any momentum in a rapidly declining segment. I don't think Sony will "officially" whack it anytime soon. But we haven't seen a new lens since the 50/1.4 five years ago. The zoom updates looked to be minor refreshes, then crickets.
Nikon 1 -- RIP, sad they bailed before mirrorless really matured. A small 4k120p camera that shoots 60fps+ raw images with a zero blackout EVF, touchscreen LCD and IBIS would be pretty cool. They had plenty of lenses, it must have been doing really poorly to not take the Sony APS-c approach and keep cranking out new bodies - or the R&D budget was so limited they couldn't fund development of DSLR's, Zed's and new 1 series cameras.
For the EF and F mounts, I think we see more refreshes in line with Canon's recent 70-200/2.8, with few new lenses as they're focusing on mirrorless. They're not going to get the ax anytime soon, but they're not going to get the attention like they did in the past either. Mirrorless is closing in on DSLR's on the sales side and soon will be the majority of ILC's. Gotta follow the market, and its trending up in mirrorless.
Not sure what Panasonic is thinking with its rumored FF camera. I'm speculating its the 8k ILC they've been hinting at. Question is, who is going to buy it? IMO the best chance they have to gain traction outside of hardcore video shooters is to use the EF mount. What if they bring a 8k FF version of the GH5 with a competent AF system? That would be interesting. Otherwise trying to get people to buy into a new FF mount without a massive lens catalog to adapt with AF like CaNikon is a big ask. This has Pentax K01 written all over it.
IMO m43 has reached the top of its product cycle curve too. It should be the dominant mirrorless format with two companies producing great bodies, lots of lenses and a big head start on everyone. Where they failed was Panasonic and Olympus essentially created two systems using the same sensor/mount that don't play nice with each other, plus none of the bigger players went m43 so it never got the visibility of anything CaNikon.
Just my 0.02.
