Yeap!
Leaving today and hopefully meeting up with some nice friends in Sao Paulo from where we will travel (by air) to Cuiabá from where I will start the jurney.

Two weeks of birds, mammals and hopefull some wonderful landscapes awaits for us, wish us luck!

In the meantime, here are some images of mammals all taken in Costa Rica and with Canon gear. I chose these files as I am hoping I will have a chance to find and photograph their South American relatives, it´s going to be exciting to see new species of mammals and likely, many bird lifers!

Great shots! Jealous, always wanted to go to South America to shoot some of the exotic species there. Have a great trip.

I don't think you need any luck with the photography part Juan--this is an outstanding set! I'll hope you have some great light and good interactions with the birds and wildlife though. Will be eager to see them.

Well, so far we have photograph about 8 mammals and counting, we've seen over 150 bird species and have taken pictures of some dramatic sunsets.
Food has been great at all lodges and we are traveling with a local female guide who is quite good!
All I can say is that we are super happy as this tour is becaming what we all expected!

Juan, you are killing me with your wonderful images....

and these are of creatures that we didn't get to see in CR. Well except for the howler monkey, and unlike Gary, I care less for them. I am not sure whether you recall the situation when he wanted to leave early from a great spot to be able to photograph them? No biggie...
