This post is not about beautiful images. It is about a subject which is normally just about visible in near complete darkness (no colours visible) being seen in sunlight, three hours before darkness. I see bats regularly in the summer but this is the only time I have seen one (my wife saw two) in bright sunlight or even daylight.
Bat flight is very erractic, with many sudden turns and swoops.and with the distance constantly changing. Although I had my 100-400 lens on, framing at 200-250mm was extremely dificult. These images have been cropped by 70%+. AF was useless so II switched to MF.
Olympus EM-1 (aperture priority), Panasonic H-RS100400E 100 - 400 mm Leica DG Vario-Elmar Power Lens, hand-held.
