Looking at the pictures of the cecropia moth, with the wings down, I don't think so. They have these crescent shapes on the wings that yours does not have.

Yes, I stand corrected. It is a Promethea, which is evident with the wings flat. I had one as a kid too. Mine were brown. I've never seen one so red. Thanks for correcting me.
