Quick trip to Boulder, had a few hours in RMNP in the afternoon, caught this between Nymph and Dream Lakes. Added 7/12/18 a B&W conversion. 7/13/18 edit: reduced sharpness in clouds.

An easy going image that is easy to view. I like the way the dark, bold, near section of mountain opens up to the long, soft, large section of mountains in the mid frame. A sort of subtle landscape though the subject matter is a little less than subtle. Might make a nice black and white showing off the contrasts of both light and texture.

The gradations in light that you captured – while subtle because of the way you processed the image – are stunning.

I agree that this might make a beautiful black and white image.

Thank you very much for looking and for your comments. I have almost no experience converting to B&W, but I gave it the best try I could and added above. Thanks again for your suggestions.

I think you did a great job with the black and white. You might want to do black and white conversions more often. Good to have in one's repertoire.

Agreed – great job on the black and white conversion. I would even experiment with some dodging/burning to really make for a moody looking image.

BW makes a very interesting image compared to color version.

All, thanks for the feedback. I do like the B&W better as well. Definitely provides more opportunities when the light is mostly flat.
