Dean, I really like the shore line leading into sunset. Nice capture.

The light and composition are spot on! Congrats, especially since the image is mostly sunny. The cloud position and hanging on the left makes this especially work IMO.

Since this is still a critique (friendly) forum the only suggestions I would have that are totally subjective BTW (I believe some suggestions photographers like myself give have more or less merit at times - so this one being on the lessor side) would be to clone out as many distracting elements as possible (I am not suggesting all the things in the sand or water, but maybe some of them to simplify a bit). The next idea would be to have shot a Sunstar (I hated them for years but like them from time to time) and Topaz has a great Sunstar filter to where if you did not get one, sometimes you can create a perfectly realistic one. Lastly, your horizon is tilted clockwise by about +1.1 degree. I definitely believe in straightening relatively, but it seems that it fees straighter corrected. I often do not like a straightening to crop my image so I will tilt it in Photoshop to a straight ruler guide, and then the areas that end up showing as white, I love to select and then expand the selection by about 3-4 pixels and then use Delete / Content-Aware to fill. This is so that I do not lose the original size of the image as I crop.

Again, (line with others) if you want a free, no obligation 3-4 minute Video demonstration just to be helpful, please feel free to PM me. This is my job.

Very nice image Dean. I also like what Mark added to the discussion. Interesting, and useful tip.

Thanks everybody for your comments and feedback its greatly appreciated.

Mark- Thanks for your critique I have a great deal of respect and admiration for your work and appreciate you taking the time to offer such an in-depth analysis. I'm on it for the horizon and some potential cloning for future renditions of the image, as for the sun star I'm still on the fence.

Regards,
Dean
