Close to my home, there is a large, but very local area of terraced rice paddies. A paddy can be 'rented' for a season to permit even the city dwellers to experience planting and harvesting rice. Lush green this time of year, golden when the grain is ripe and rather bleak in the winter. Printed large on metal, this one was donated to the hospital where I work here, as green is a soothing color.
