Had to say goodbye to this guy last Friday. He got sick and was gone in two days. He was with us for 12 amazing years. Not gonna lie...it hurts like hell and it sucks. We were lucky to have him.

Yes, sir.... I know just how this goes. I've said 'goodbye' to 3 furry members of my family in about the past 40 years. In each case I could not eat or sleep well for many weeks after.

The faith, devotion, and obvious signs of feeling from a precious dog to a human keeper are beyond words to describe!!

SO sorry to hear this. I have a Siberian Husky of my own and I often wonder how much longer she'll be around. Will she live to 10? Or much longer, to 15? She's 9.5 now and appears in perfect health, but she's a trooper and never lets anyone know when something's bothering her...
So, we try and make the most of the time we have.
All the best to you and Zeus. I'm sure he filled your life with happiness, and I have no doubts you did the same for him.

Tammy,
I know you'll treasure this photograph of your trusted friend.

It is heart wrenching to make the decision you had to make. We had a cat who developed cancer. After conferring with the vet, we opted for surgery, which was successful. She had a wonderful 13 months before the cancer returned. Our vet told us it was time to let her go. We held her in her last moments. It was one of the hardest things I've ever done.

Feel happy knowing that he lived a good life and almost certainly loved you all more than life itself.

I cannot express to you the loss of your child. I have lost 3 in a short time and I grieve everyday. Many of the things we did together, I cannot do still.
The loss is too great for me. Today being Father's Day is especially hard!
All I can say is that they are in a far better place than we are. They await are reunion and I look forward to that day.
