Something like 10KM or 6 miles one way with 2500 feet elevation change. So not as horrible as the Sierras I've been hiking recently but still, challenging. I don't know anything about hiking in the Grand Canyon so I can't comment or compare to that. If you're in a good shape, I guess this would not be a problem.....

Here was my Grand Canyon hike 2013, when I was 72 y young: 11 miles and 7000+ ft elevation change. 3days. one day down, one day at the bottom, one day up, the toughest part.

That's tough for sure. But the elevation change isn't starting at 8K feet.

where did you get that/
Any way I had an essay about the trip starting with intention and preparations( months of daily hiking) and the actual hiking. If you wish to spend few minutes reading it, I would send it to you.

Did you travel there by yourself? Hike there by yourself?

Yes. But I've been to Patagonia 6 times now and I used to ran workshops there. This year, however, I wanted to go alone to hike/camp and explore places I wouldn't be able to go with clients. Most of them would never camp in a cold tent/campsite 7 miles away from a hotel

Fantastic set of images. The mountain looks like it glows in the dark.
