Hi.
Spring has come. Raccoon dogs just wakeup.

1. Canon 6D2, 400mm, f2.8 iso 2500, 1/80s.

2. Canon 6D2, 400mm, f2.8, iso 2000, 1/40s.

3. Canon 6D2, 400mm, f2.8, iso 3200, 1/80s.

4. Canon 6D2, 400mm, f2.8, iso 1250, 1/80s.

5. Canon 6D2, 400mm, f2.8, iso 1600, 1/30s.

6. Canon 6D2, 400mm, f2.8, iso 2500, 1/50s.

Then i did some cameratrap using my 6D2, 24/2.8 IS lens, some housing and 3 flashes and PIR sensor.

Results:

Great set! Been missing your posts lately. These are a little different looking than the raccoons we have here. Another interesting difference, here, Raccoon dogs are the hounds used in hunting these animals.

So, the name: "raccoon dog" is not a name of the (Nyctereutes procyonoides) ?

These are awesome shots of a rarely posted animal. Impressive focus at 2.8 - you don't have much DOF to work with there & you nailed it! So strange to think these are the oldest member of the canid genus, yet they look so similar to N. American raccoons. Thanks again for sharing your great work.

Had to look this animal up....not related to N.America raccoons (bear family) while the raccoon dog is in the dog family. I love your wild Poland series.
