We shot side-by-side so some of these shots may look familiar.

Well done again; just curious - are these the white balance nightmare that they appear? Your images look "right" in that the bears' fur always has a warm tone to it, but how easy was it to get that?

These are so special! Nothing anticlimactic here...just overwhelmingly wonderful! I wonder where I was, probably chimping, when you got a few of these beauties. It was such an amazing day and I was so lucky to be able to share it with you. Your level of optimism throughout when it appeared we’d get skunked really helped lighten the mood. And you were a star from your World Wildlife of the Year award. I felt like I was traveling with a celebrity. We even found a newspaper with your photo on the front page. And oddly today, all the way in SoCal I met a couple who mentioned seeing your photo in London.

1, 3 and 5 for me Don. Tough conditions and you pulled them off. You processing seems a bit gentler than Eric's.

These are awesome photos Don. Eric has filled me in on some of the details of the trip and for all you went through last year and this year you guys sure deserved getting this amazing day with these very young cubs.

Thanks Tom. There is very limited ability to alter your photo situation with the bears. Eric and I moved a couple times and fortunately we really lucked out when the bears became active.

Thanks. Yes they are a challenge. We had for the most part an overcast and snowy day. It did take a bit of work in PP to get them to look "right" at least in my eye. I'm glad you agree with my vision.
Interesting that a number of people I spoke with, over-exposed by 1 stop. I shot according to my readings and I like my results. If we all did the same thing life would be boring.
