Good capture, but sad to see in a way. Hopefully not a large wildfire, and more importantly, no lives lost.

Not to worry. It was a planned burn at a wildlife refuge (mostly for birds) north of Kansas City. Staff were present and monitoring the area. They do this periodically to promote new growth and keep the woodlands from taking over parts of the refuge.
