Clarity feels a tad too cranked in picture 2, or something like that is going on.
My skills with landscapes/cityscapes are less than amateurish as this was my first serious attempt. I am still struggling to "see". The Navy Pier was awash with a sudden burst of the setting Sun right after a heavy shower a couple minutes earlier. The haze or something on all the buildings in the back are really the thin rain mist which was still passing by. I tried to "dehaze" the stuff by using a couple adjustment layers but as you can see my skills are still at level 1 or less
Very good!
Was the top shot from Fullerton Beach? I am going to Chicago later this month and want to get a good skyline.
Navy Pier shot great - From what general location, if you don't mind.
Cheers,
John

John - I took the dinner cruise on the lake last fall and picked a day when it was supposed to be stormy and lightning possiblilty according to weather. But it turned out to be just rainy and overcast. The cruise stopped that day for 45 mins or so that day so it lined up perfectly for me. The cruise started around 6PM CST and my photos were around 6:45PM CST.
