I think the A73 may be your best choice. (Unless you need to make 40" and larger prints). Otherwise, the A7R2 should be fine.
I have them all, (other than the new A73), and the A7R to A7R2 was the huge change in evolution. The A7R2 to the A7R3 are minor upgrades, although very important to some of us. Battery life and Auto Focus were the two huge improvements. I still use both cameras and don't hesitate to shoot with the A7R2 when I need a second body. I just have five batteries for it, and wouldn't use it for fast action. Sure the response of the latest A7R3 is faster in every way, I don't think it matters much if you're shooting landscapes, products, architecture etc., IMO...Show more →
From your opinion, what benefits or features in the A73 would make it a better landscape camera over the A7R2. I see 2 major and 1 minor feature of the A7R2 that would make it better for landscapes.
1. More pixels. Allows for larger prints and more cropping.
2. Play memory apps. Couple apps that really streamline certain landscape images.
3. Cheaper if buying used which allows more money on things like lenses, tripods, polarizers etc...
