The Pacific Northwest (especially Oregon) is totally spoiled with more original and epic landscape then one could exploit in many lifetimes. Even just the Oregon Coast alone would provide more than a lifetime of photographic bliss for those willing and able to get off the beaten path a bit. In a recent interview, I was asked pointedly why my photography and photo workshops concentrate largely on the Western U.S. (SW and NW) and I basically said: "Because it's all there!" Although I travel internationally yearly for other locations (last year Africa/Uganda) I am still in total shock and awe of the beauty (often still untapped) we are so privileged with, in the West!

Techie stuff:
Lately, my workflow has been significantly growing/evolving to be done largely as 32-bit Raw "Smart Objects" in Photoshop. This now allows us to take awesome advantage of some of the very best Layering and Masking finesse tools in Photoshop, yet still remain in a floating/lossless 32-bit space (instead of 8 or 16 bit) much further along! It also allows us to go back and make corrections much like Photoshop "adjustment layers." I believe this might be the exciting future for post-processing! The fine art prints (for myself and others) have taken on a whole new level of cleanliness, color variation, integrity and detail. For more info look me up.
